Fru Ndi compared to Moses

On July 23th, BaretaNews published an article from the SDF Deputy Mayor in Nkambe, Martin Yembe hailing Fru Ndi as the Cameroons Moses. His write-up received a lot of mix reactions from the Cameroons people. However, Dr. Nfor Susungi, the Cameroons 2018 Presidential election candidate responded with a different look. He gave a perfect analysis of the mosaic mission of John Fru Ndi. It is worth reading. He wrote:

“.. This conversation with the Chairman took me to the Book of Exodus 4:10 where Moses had an encounter with God in the burning bush during which God asked Moses to go and tell Pharaoh to set free the Israelites. Moses resists the assignment he received from God to go and tell Pharaoh to “let my people go”. Moses protested saying: “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” (Exodus 4:10). But God’s response was: “11The LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the LORD? » Exodus 4 :11.

In order to reassure Moses and boost his courage, God decided to appoint Aaron his senior brother to be his mouthpiece when he goes to see Pharaoh saying: “You are to speak to him and put the words in his mouth; and I, even I, will be with your mouth and his mouth, and I will teach you what you are to do”. Exodus 4:15.

This conversation at the VIP lounge at the airport in Abidjan convinced me that John Fru Ndi knew and understood that his mission in Cameroon was “Messianic” and his role was “Mosaic”. Anybody who knows what is happening in Cameroon at the spiritual level will tell you that Cameroon is a country under very powerful demonic principalities because a lot of blood was spilled (from the German period to the Bamileke genocide to the 1984 attempted coup) in order to create the Cameroonian nation. God decided to choose a man of very humble origins to deliver the country from the forces of darkness. That is why the choice fell on a mere bookseller to undertake this mission even though he spoke no French and did not read the books that he sold. But wherever he stood up crowds came and listened to him. I am a firsthand eyewitness because I toured the whole country with him in 1997. The question now is where did things go wrong?

The answer is that we don’t know for sure. But we know that during the course of wondering through the Desert Zin an incident took place when the Israelites were thirsty. In Numbers 20:8, the Lord told Moses, “Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink.” Numbers 20:9-11 records Moses’ response: “So Moses took the staff from the LORD’s presence, just as He commanded him. He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, ‘Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?’ Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.” The Lord was displeased with Moses’ actions: “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them” (Numbers 20:12).

If the Mosaic view of John Fru Ndi’s mission is correct, the question is whether at some stage John Fru Ndi did something which destroyed his relationship with God. Only John Fru Ndi knows that. But whatever the case, the messianic anointing on him remains intact even if he may not be able to reach the Promised Land himself. But one thing that he must do is that he must identify the “Joshua” who shall take the people into the Promised Land.

This is an important issue because there is a lot of pressure from the public as well as the entourage within the SDF for John Fru Ndi to relinquish the Chairmanship of the party to someone else. There is no doubt about the fact that he shall do it at some stage; but John Fru Ndi is the one who shall personally name his own successor.

After the Israelites rebelled in the Desert of Zin, Moses himself requested God for a new leader when he said to the LORD: “May the LORD, the God who gives breath to all living things, appoint someone over this community to go out and come in before them, one who will lead them out and bring them in, so the LORD’s people will not be like sheep without a shepherd.” God responded to Moses saying: “Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit of leadership, and lay your hand on him.( Numbers 27:18).

The Book of Deuteronomy 31 tells us how Moses passed the mantle of leadership to his successor. It says, And then Moses went out and spoke these words to all Israel: 2 “I am now a hundred and twenty years old and I am no longer able to lead you. The LORD has said to me, ‘You shall not cross the Jordan.’ 3 The LORD your God himself will cross over ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you will take possession of their land. Joshua also will cross over ahead of you, as the LORD said. 4 And the LORD will do to them what he did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites, whom he destroyed along with their land. 5 The LORD will deliver them to you, and you must do to them all that I have commanded you.6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

7 Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the LORD swore to their ancestors to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance. 8 The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

Given the fact that John Fru Ndi is celebrating his 75th birthday in 2016, it looks like his 120th birthday is still 45 years away. That means Joshua must wait till 2061 for John Fru Ndi to lay his hands on him. Ha Ha Ha.
