Chief Justice Ayah Paul Abine, Cameroun Supreme Court Advocate General who was retired in jail after being abducted from his home by three SED individuals on January 21st, 2017 has been left to his faith going more than 180 days without trial. It is unheard off in a world that a sitting judge will be jailed for voincing out support for the “Anglophone Crisis”. His only crime being that he originates from a country called former British Southern Cameroons. In fact, coming from that part of the country makes you a potential “Criminal-Enemy-Terrorists” and what have you? Belaboured by the harsh treatment of Ayah Paul Abine in jail, the family of the Lord Justice through the family spokesperson has said the family is going international after all domestic remedies have been exhausted. The statement from the family reads:

The AYAH FAMILY is informing all Cameroonians at home and abroad alongside the entire universe, that it has seized THE UNITED NATIONS for the IMMEDIATE RELEASE of Ayah Paul Abine, who is currently being held hostage by the State of Cameroon, as well as demanding the imposition of EXEMPLARY/PUNITIVE DAMAGES on the latter as compensation to the AYAH’s.

We are accusing the State of kidnap, unlawful detention, hostage keeping, attempted murder, state terrorism, defamation and threats among others. After seeking Justice from our courts which was brutally being denied us, we have gone international, hoping that we could get the much needed justice we so deserve, from beyond our borders, FOLLOWING THE LAWLESSNESS AND HISTORIC ABUSES OF OUR DAD’s HUMAN, CIVIL AND OTHER RIGHTS THIS FAR. It’s a shame that our courts, said to be independent, can approve of the kidnap, illegal detention, and hostage keeping of a supreme court judge, their most senior colleague, without charge for close to 200 days, by denying us justice.
