Ambazonian fighters in Njinikom, Boyo County in the Northern Zone have said children in the area needs education.
In a video circulating on social media, pro independence fighters in the county revealed that a community school will be opened where all Ambazonians of school going ages will be taught. They explained that after independence these children will play a vital role in the development of the country. The fighters entreated parents not to send their children to study in neighboring La Republique du Cameroun, stating that competent teachers will be recruited at the Njinikom community school.
Since the Ambazonian war of independence broke out in 2016, schools in the territory have remained grounded, with most parents sending their children to study in neighboring Francophone regions.
It is not clear if a curriculum has been prepared for the said community school in Boyo but pro independence fighters in the area say all is set for children to effectively return to school. Other localities in Ambazonia, have been called upon to open up similar schools where Ambazonian children can attend for a better future.
